Frequently Asked Questions

Great question!

  • Our ‘Discover St. George’s’ and ‘Resilience’ walking tours focus on history, with centuries old buildings and sites as the backdrops for the stories. Perfect for history & culture enthusiasts, couples, older travelers, travel groups.
  • ‘From Town to Tobacco Bay’ and ‘Walk & Ride’ both give you a focused history section AND an outdoor experience. So there’s a bit of something for everyone! Perfect for groups with mixed interests.
  • The e-bicycle tours of St. George’s and St. David’s have some history and we hop off the bikes to visit key sites. But there isn’t as much history as other tours because we spend time visiting scenic areas of the East End, allowing you to see beautiful beaches (have a swim!), nature reserves and secluded coves. Perfect for adventure seekers, families with older teens, couples and (most importantly), people who are comfortable on a bicycle!
  • On History with a Twist, you get a bit of history but the focus is really on our unique craft cocktails! Obviously, this tour is only available to those of legal drinking age (18+ in
Bermuda). Perfect for those who love a good cocktail, are interested in talking about the food that grows in Bermuda, and fans of Drunk History (jk, your guide will not be drunk!)

Other factors include

  • How much time do you have available? We offer tours from 90 minutes up to full day (and even multi day!) experiences. And remember, time flies when you are having fun. There’s lots to see and our longer tours are chock full of wonderment!
  • Can you ride a bicycle? Contrary to popular sentiment, you can indeed forget how to ride a bike! We recommend e-bicycle tours for people who are comfortable riding a bicycle. Remember, we also ride on the left!
  • Location, location, location! We are based in St. George’s parish, so primarily do tours here, in the Town of St. George, the St. George’s coast and trails, and in St. David’s. But, if you are unable to come to the East End, we also offer a walking tour in the City of Hamilton. We also create custom group activities island-wide.

We strive to make sure that our walking tours are fully accessible to anyone who uses wheelchairs or mobility devices. If you do use a mobility device, or have questions or concerns about accessibility, please note this in your reservation or contact us so that we can review the tour route in advance. Due to construction, weather, or other circumstances, we may encounter uneven paths, obstructions, or steep inclines on our usual route, which we will adjust to avoid.
Yes you MUST book in advance. In the high season (April to October) we have tours several times a week, a mix of public tours and keep some days open for private tours. In the quieter months (November to March), we offer only 1 public tour a week, and still take private tours regularly.

The history tours can be a great way to introduce children to Bermuda's rich history and culture, and we can provide little ones with a photo worksheet to engage them in the experience. However, the public tours are definitely geared more towards adults. If you’d like a special experience for you and your children that we can tailor, please make a private booking. School
groups, please click here to provide details.

And, please note that all of our tours discuss topics from history that children may find unsettling
including enslavement, war, and public executions.

‘History with a Twist’ and ‘Town to Tobacco Bay’ include food and/or drink.s

Our other tours do not, but our e-bicycle tours visit Tobacco Bay Beach and Clearwater Beach, which both have concession stands in the summer months, and there is a bit of time built into the tours so that guests can make a quick purchase if desired. On private walking tours, if guests want to pop into a shop to buy a snack/drink, that’s fine too!

For a tour that includes more food stops, we create custom tours. Please reach out so we can create a unique experience for you that celebrates Bermuda’s incredible food culture!
Yep! We have a variety of public tours on offer every week that you can join. If you’d prefer to create your own personal experience, book a private tour.
There are public (and free!) parking lots in the Town of St. George. If you park on the street, parking is limited to one hour. If you park there for an extended period, or in an unmarked spot you may receive a ticket.
We love and greatly appreciate a gratuity for a job well done!

Our public tours are limited to 20 participants. (For e-bike tours, an additional guide/host is added over 10 ppl).

Private and custom tours can have larger groups,

That depends! If you are experienced riding a regular bicycle, and have done so recently, then you will likely be fine on an e bicycle. It’s a bit heavier than a regular bicycle, and provides you with electric pedal assistance and also a throttle, like a motorcycle. Before the tour starts, there’s a short lesson to make sure you’re feeling comfortable.

However, contrary to popular sentiment, you can indeed forget how to ride a bike! We recommend e-bicycle tours for people who are comfortable riding a bicycle. Remember, we also ride on the left!
